Community members filled the special meeting held by the Resources and Development Committee at Cameron Chapter on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, to hear vendor issues with the Navajo Parks and Recreation Department, updates on the Cameron farming project, two reports form the Navajo Department of Agriculture and a project update from the Navajo Division of Transportation.

Navajo Nation Chapter Meetings could get cancelled

As of March 16, 2020, some Navajo chapter officials and the Legislative branch confirmed they will issue an official directive on whether or not Chapter meetings will be cancelled.

Chapter meetings are community events where they delegate community issues on economic development, business related activities on behalf of those perspective communicates within the Navajo Nation.

Many community members depend on their local chapters for assistance and guidance, when those services cease, where would community members go. There are 106 Chapters across the Navajo Nation.

As the coronavirus ceases American businesses, conferences, across the Nationget cancelled or will close until further Notice.
