SKATE PARK SHOOTING UPDATE

Police are still on the lookout for Deshawn Yazzie. Detectives have obtained a warrant for his arrest, charging him with three counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police have made a separate arrest in connection with the shooting, 15-year-old Juan Angel, of Gallup. Angel was booked in the Juvenile Detention Center in Farmington, New Mexico on several counts of aggravated battery. It appears that both the juvenile suspect and the adult suspect were armed at the time of the shooting.

The victims are identified as Ramero Dooline, 28, Kintaro Dooline, 24, and Montero Dooline, 20. All three are brothers from the local area. All received treatment at local hospitals for gunshot wounds. All but one of the brothers has been released.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear. We can confirm it began after a verbal and then physical altercation.

The Skate Park is temporarily closed, pending the conclusion of this investigation and the arrest of Deshawn Yazzie. Parks Department personnel have set up temporarily barricades.

The Police Department reminds the public that harboring or aiding a fugitive is a felony offense.
