ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A Littlewater man has pleaded guilty to assaulting a federal tribal police officer with a metal bar last year in New Mexico.
Prosecutors say 52-year-old Eugene Kuhn entered his plea Friday in federal court in Albuquerque.
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Kuhn will be sentenced to 18 months in federal prison followed by a term of supervised release to be determined by the court.
Kuhn was arrested last June on a criminal complaint.
He was accused of attacking a tribal police officer with the Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety while the officer was attempting to arrest Kuhn on unrelated charges on June 14, 2015.
Kuhn remains in custody pending a sentencing hearing which has yet to be scheduled.
