RETRACTION: NAVAJO TO WORK IN WHITE HOUSE
STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF ALEXANDER CHAMBERS
On Jan. 21, 2017 at 1:01 pm the Navajo Post newspaper published a short article, ‘Navajo To Work in White House’ that stated former State Sen. Carlyle Begay is President Trumps new White House Advisor on Indian Affairs.
According to the Arizona Republic and confirmed by the White House Carlyle Begay does not work in the White House as President Trump White House Advisor on Indian Affairs.
On Jan 21, 2017, the Navajo Nation Republican Party originally reported that Carlyle was Trump new White House Advisor on Indian Affairs, not the Navajo Post newspaper.
The Navajo Post made a mistake by not properly sourcing and confirming the information by the Navajo Nation Republican Party on facebook in our newspaper and website, we apologize and have corrected the article.
