Black Friday Shoppers Ascend upon Farmington Wal-Mart


Shoppers started late Thanksgiving Day at Wal-Mart in Farmington New Mexico.

Thousands of shoppers lined up for the fire sale of products. Farmington police were even present to show they won’t have it for any unruly shoppers.

Wal-Mart had a unique technique, they used yellow tape to designate where people can go to get in line and pay.

One shopper explained he got presents for his nieces and nephews while others purchased cell phones and gift cards.

Wal-Mart is located in Farmington, NM near one of the largest Native American tribes in the U.S.

Economically, Farmington benefits from members of the Navajo Nation, who shop locally in the city.

Navajo Nation Dept. Of Economic Develop reported the Nation loses over $4 Billion in revenue to border towns. .
